The Jeansson Foundations is annually providing research grants for in total 4-7 M SEK. We prioritize researchers with a PhD that has postdoctoral experience and that are setting up their own research group. For the moment each grant is approximately 200,000-500,000 SEK. The deadline for the application is posted through the Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm University, and other medical faculties in Sweden, as well as on the Foundations's homepage. Startup grants to young researchers that are setting up their own independent research group. The applicant should have a position connected to a university and have received a PhD year 2009 or later. The application system for year 2015 is open between May 11th and June 16th at midnight. Apply here » Malin Lagerström (above) is a researcher at the Uppsala University and has recently received a new type of grant of 50,000 SEK for succesfull researchers in medicine. Malin has in a short amount of time established her own research group that is studying the functions ov neuronal network that are involved in the sensitivity and regulation of pain and other sensory perception. The research is novel and has great potential to contribute with new efficient treatments for chronic pain. Read more »
